About Gatun Locks
Every ship climbing from the sea to Gatun Lake passes through your locks. One of them is not what its papers say: a bulk carrier with empty holds that only needs to sink in the narrowest stretch to close the canal for a month.
Gatun Locks is a precision and judgement game. Check each pilot's manifest against how deep the ship sits in the water and turn away the ones that do not add up. Then raise each ship through three lock chambers by filling the water to the green line. Overfill and you flood the walls, underfill and the hull scrapes the sill.
